Envision is the board of directors of your company or institution convening you all and presenting to you the development plan of your company in the coming years, along with the extensive work you have to accomplish each day.
Now, picture yourself compiling all the study materials for an upcoming exam. You check the total volume and sum up all the page numbers. What do you think of that? Overwhelming, right?
Visualize the pressure involved in constructing a house. The estimated costs can appear daunting, can’t they? Is it truly feasible?
Many times, this is how we perceive life. We constantly project into the future, being presented with a “contour of life” that we do not know how to navigate.
There are moments when life is incredibly pleasant, while there are times when it appears utterly unclear.
In such moments, we may question whether our past actions have led to these circumstances.
Someone expressed their wish on their timeline:
“I wish we had a step-by-step manual to life; life would have been easier.”
We genuinely yearn to comprehend and anticipate the future so that we can plan accordingly. However, our time is not God’s timing, nor are our thoughts and actions His (Isaiah 55:8).
Imagine God revealing to you all the challenges and experiences you would encounter in this life. How would you cope with such an overwhelming reality?
If God were to unveil everyone’s life in advance, I am certain that we would experience a profound sense of weakness and vulnerability.
He knows every season we will face, both the challenging moments and the peaceful times.
Consequently, He may choose to remain silent at times, as our ways deviate from His.
Do you still feel the stress of climbing the managerial ladder, becoming a director, or reaching your current position? Can you recall every step you took to graduate from school? How did you navigate this challenging journey to get where you are?
These details are not crucial. What matters is that we are here and continue to progress. While some challenges may have left lasting impressions, they are not meant to hinder your progress; they are lessons learned.
We might be surprised by how our lives develop, but God is never surprised by the most difficult situations we face, because His plan is always perfect (Deuteronomy 32:4).
“He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.” Deuteronomy 32:4
Does this imply that we should abandon our efforts due to our limited understanding of life? Certainly not.
Life is indeed beautiful. Continue pursuing your goals and avoid comparing your journey to others. Your season will come in its appointed time. Correct your mistakes, seek understanding, and patiently wait for God’s perfect time.
